WE CELEBRATE BREAD

We are proud of our bread. We think it is something to celebrate. We put all our
energy into creating our loaves and making sure you enjoy them. Nourishing and nurturing, a good loaf is a really heart-warming experience.
We think that’s something worth sharing.

WE ARE BREAD PURISTS

Every loaf is made by hand... fresh every single day!

    ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER SAYS:
"Gail's pride themselves on their bread, and this is well-deserved - even when I order a virtuous salad, I end up sopping up the dressing with 3-4 slices of accompanying bread!"
ROBIN S - LONDON  W11

Where bread is concerned we are puritanical. Our daily bread doesn’t need preservatives because it comes to you fresh every day. The only additives our artisan bakers use are natural ingredients - nuts, fruit, vegetables or herbs. We don’t use chemicals to speed up the fermentation of our dough because we love slow dough - we know its better, you know it tastes better.

WE ARE INTERNATIONALLY INSPIRED

From Cholla to Croissant, we seek out bakery goods from around the world.

LONDON APPETIZER QUIPS:
"...This small chain of bakery cum cafes is well worth a visit. I love their chocolate croissants and have never had a tasteless pastry from GAIL's."
We’ve travelled, sampled and been inspired by breads from around the globe… then we’ve returned home to our kitchen and created our own recipes. Multicultural and diverse, you could say that our breads and business are a reflection of our modern British culture.

WE ARE LOCAL (AND LOVABLE)

Each one of our stores is its own local, neighbourhood bakery.
   FOODEPEDIA WRITES:
"The local bakery is back! ...bread lovers will be pleased to learn that they can delight again in all of their favourite dough based products with the arrival of GAIL’s Bakery."

We are not just a shop on a High Street, we are part of the local  scene. We make friends with the customers that we see every day. We  are here for them… to provide bread, morning coffee, afternoon tea,  conversation or a quiet hiatus. Being part of a community is important  to us, which is why we host events; to draw people together and  ‘break bread’ with our neighbours.
